Nomadic

I’m originally from Queensland, Australia, but over the last decade I have worked as a physio throughout Europe, India, Canada and most recently Tokyo, Japan.

I consider myself a nomad. Being nomadic is limitless in its possibilities. You learn so much about yourself out there on the open road, rather than trapped behind a computer all day. I love adventures, being challenged and that feeling of achievement once done. I am passionate about supporting people to get the best out of themselves and reach their goals. What really kills me is having a friend or family member unable to continue an adventure due to an easily preventable or manageable injury. Getting these people back up and running to their best ability puts a smile on my face.

Do you have an adventure coming up? I’ll travel with you as your personal physio, email me today.

Qualified and Experienced

My qualifications include a Bachelor in Applied Science – Human Movement Studies (BAppSc) from Queensland University of Technology, and a Masters in Physiotherapy (MPhty) from Griffith University on the Gold Coast

As a physio and sports scientist, I have 11 years experience across the health and fitness industry including employment at one of the top Sports Physiotherapy clinics in Australia, where I worked alongside sports physicians, orthopedists, psychologists, podiatrists, exercise physiologists, and nutritionists. I have also been fortunate enough to work with Queensland Rugby League and the Queensland Academy of Sport assisting with athlete development in rugby, rugby league, basketball, and diving.

During the 2010 Winter Olympics in Whistler, Canada, I was supporting athletes as a sports scientist, and in the years that followed I was treating professional sports teams in Australia, and adventurers throughout Europe and in remote parts of India.

More recently, I was at Tokyo’s premier physiotherapy practice, Tokyo Physio, treating local and expat professionals for sports injuries, and doing personalised consultations for athletes looking to take their performance to the next level.

Passion for Adventure

Growing up, I was always an outdoors kid. I played a ton of sports and ventured into the outback whenever I could. Our family travelled a lot, and my mother was from the UK, so we often went to Europe to visit family and explore the continent. My father worked a lot around Asia, so I was seeing and experiencing different cultures from a young age, which grew into a drive to get out and explore this beautiful world we live in. Since then, I have been lucky enough to travel across Europe, North America, Central and South Americas, and much of the Asia-Pacific region.

I’ve been fortunate to live in awesome places, from the Rocky Mountains of Canada to one of the craziest and busiest cities in the world, Tokyo. Through all my adventures, my passion has always been to get everyone physically ready for and experiencing every adventure life has to offer. Every trip I’ve been on, I’ve offered treatment to those needing it. Whether that has been to ensure they are fully fit to tackle that ascent to base camp, finish that gruelling cross-country team bike tour, or even hit their personal goal of 35 days skiing on the mountain in a single season, I am passionate about supporting your adventure. Are you in need of a physio to travel with you on your next adventure? If so, shoot me an email and let’s talk.
